Interactive 3D
anatomy:
It has been a long held dream of mine to create anatomical representations
of the body and to be able to 'move' them around in 3 dimensions.
Finally technology caught up with
my fantasy and I have made it a reality by creating two 3D
anatomy websites, one for the general public and another which
focuses on musicians problems. There are more to come....
Anatomy is best savoured and digested
over a long period. The result of detailed and repeated study
is to be able to 'see' progressively more and more into the
body, be it your own or someone else's. A little
like X-ray vision. Certainly it aids the intimate understanding
of the mechanisms at play when we use our bodies.
It was my intention to produce 'wordless'
anatomy, thus stripping the information to the core, that core
growing through sight and interactive experience. And so, I
have produced these two websites that are unique on the Internet
( as far as I know ).
The first site 'The
Body Garage' deals with the more common
problems that we all face. The second site is specialised for
musicians. You will find great fascination in the dynamism of
all of the illustrations that you will see and toy with.
People
from all over the net stop at these sites. They come from universities,
NHS departments, hospitals and the media as well as the general
public. Musicians, especially, find their site of great use.
My aim was to provide an experience,
not a lecture. Go see... ....ENJOY !!! Tell me what you
think...
