Hypnotherapy
is a gentle form of therapy
which utilises the phenomenom of hypnosis.
This specialised technique helps us to access our own inner resources and helps us to find the solutions to personal problems.
A person can expect to experience a profound sense of relaxation. Clients most liken it to being in a daydream or trance state.
This is nothing like the apparent control induced by the stage hypnotist for entertainment purposes.
A daydream is a natural everyday occurrence like when shopping at the supermarket and a tune or thought just 'pops' into your head and
occupies your attention for a while, or when our mind wanders in class, at a meeting
or whilst engaged in conversation.
It is from this state that ideas, creative abilities and solutions are drawn.
I
have found that the use of Reiki, a form of energy therapy, in conjunction with
hypnotherapy or as a separate treatment accelerates progress.
I specialise in Brief Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy in which I utilise a person's own individual characteristics to encourage that person to 'move on' towards a mutually agreed goal.
This process helps people to view life from a different perspective using techniques that include solution-focused questioning, active listening and feedback. This process often results in a change of attitude or direction.
The
person's own parlance or metaphoric interpretation is reflected back in trance
state thus re-enforcing any positive change in the future.
Thank
you for your time.
