Paul Manley is an Osteomyologist. He has personally treated over
15,000 individuals for back problems, shoulder pain, neck
pain and other spinal problems and has given over 60,000
treatments over a period of 27 years in full-time practice. At
the Paul Manley Back Pain Clinic in central London you can
be assured of a thorough, warm, understanding and effective
approach.
In
these years his knowledge has grown way beyond what he
was taught in Osteopathic college and he is still learning
more with each new case. Paul Manley has developed a unique
range of techniques and treatment frameworks which can deal
with problems where most other approaches including surgery
have failed. At his Central London clinic
he uses the famous 'McManus' treatment tables with their unique
'side to side' swinging action. These tables enable him to
target problems right down to the tiniest muscles of the spine.
Specific articulation of each joint of the spine enables the
mobilisation of those tight and often degenerative areas responsible
for both the acute and the long term pain patterns which can
blight our lives. Treatment
of sciatica, low back pain, and most other forms of chronic
and acute pain is regularly achieved with great success.
Education
of the patient by giving them a direct visual and mechanical
understanding of their condition can be a major key to
the prevention of back pain re-occurence. See the '3D
Body Garage' site- click

Following
the initial phase of treatment for back pain a certain
amount of aftercare is sometimes advised. This is usually
in the form of monthly checkups until it seems
that the spinal joints and the back muscles are healthy and
stable. This process also helps
to evaluate any habitual factors which may have influenced
the development of the initial problem e.g. bad posture,
repetitive strain injuries.
Paul
Manley
also specialises in Musicians problems and RSI. He has been
